This is the first edition of CFM - Central Florida Matters - I have read. It is a good kickoff! My home is in the southwest corner of the county, and I’m not as involved at the city level as I am at the county level. In recent years I have become significantly engaged with county wide issues such as the five branch library system and declining budgets as well as the environmental education of our children by experiencing Natural Seminole County at Environmental Studies Center educational and public events.

Pride in the natural environment is declining as dollars become sparse. How can we turn this connection around? I hope CMF will provide opportunities for dialogues on these issues. A big thank you to CMF for taking this giant step forward by focusing on the importance of being informed about our Seminole County neighborhoods.
