Marjorie Bekaert Thomas is President of Ivanhoe Broadcast News, a national news service providing health and consumer news programming to subscribing stations reaching 80 million television households and to a worldwide audience via the Internet. Thomas holds a JD from University of Florida and an undergraduate degree in economics from Duke University. She practiced law from 1976 until founding Ivanhoe in 1982
Thomas has served as chairman of the boards of Florida Hospital Foundation and WMFE Public Broadcasting. Previously, she held director positions on the boards of Winter Park Memorial Hospital and Paul Newman’s Boggy Creek Cancer Camp. Currently, she serves on the boards of Florida Hospital and Duke University Board of Visitors.
