Welcome to the 3rd edition of Central Florida Matters, posted on 10/8/09. This edition interviews all 9 candidates for election on November 3rd in the Seminole County, Fl., cities of Longwood and Oviedo. The program also features commentary from the managing editor of the Seminole Chronicle newspaper and a “voices on the street” feature reflecting resident’s views about the city and the election. Listen here to the fully “bundled” program, with every feature included in a linear style, like you hear on a program formatted for radio. (Presented and hosted by Stephen McKenney Steck and Desta L. One Response to “Central Florida Matters (3rd Edition)”

  1. This is the first edition of CFM – Central Florida Matters – I have read. It is a good kickoff! My home is in the southwest corner of the county, and I’m not as involved at the city level as I am at the county level. In recent years I have become significantly engaged with county wide issues such as the five branch library system and declining budgets as well as the environmental education of our children by experiencing Natural Seminole County at Environmental Studies Center educational and public events.

Pride in the natural environment is declining as dollars become sparse. How can we turn this connection around? I hope CMF will provide opportunities for dialogues on these issues. A big thank you to CMF for taking this giant step forward by focusing on the importance of being informed about our Seminole County neighborhoods.
