Megan Sladek

Megan Sladek is a native of Central Florida who got her start in journalism in September of 2001 fielding calls at the Press Office of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Since then, she has served as an editor of University of Florida’s Journal of Law and Public Policy, written for and edited a local newspaper, and founded The Oviedo Preservation Project, a non-profit dedicated to fostering appreciation of the history of one of Florida’s oldest communities.

An attorney by training, Sladek is broker and owner of Wolfshead Real Estate, LLC, where she enjoys helping newcomers make Central Florida home. Sladek graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. Sladek brings to the foundation a passion for social media that will help it reach out to an even broader audience of listeners.
