To more effectively address the issue of homelessness in Seminole County Florida, the community services department of county government convened the second in a series of meetings of providers of services to the homeless community. CMF public media sat in to record the conversations that took place.
When young people in foster care leave the system at age 18 they face the difficult task of forging an independent life. Philip, Kristina and Stephanie discuss the deeply personal challenges of creating a successful life after foster care. Their safety net is the support they receive from the Independent Living Program administered by Community Based Care of Central Florida. This was part of a three day event Lovefest 2011 sponsored by Gladdening Light a non-profit organization created to explore the nexus between faith and art.
