On November 2, voters in Oviedo, Florida will learn who was elected to serve them as a member of the city council in Seat -4. However, now you’ll hear all seven candidates respond to questions put to them by members of local news media in this candidate forum sponsored by the Oviedo Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce. There are two podcasts on this site. The formal candidate forum, which lasts one hour and 33-minutes minutes and includes the unedited, gavel-to-gavel responses of all candidates to questions from the local news media – including CMF’s senior producer, Desta Horner…. and another podcast of three and a half minutes which includes candidates’ informal responses to intentionally asked “trivia” questions.

The forum was recorded Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Oviedo Woman’s Club. It was hosted by Corey Skeates, executive director of the Oviedo Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce. A panel of 3-local news media principals asked questions of the candidates. They are CMF’s senior producer, Desta Horner, who moderated the forum, Michelle Yoffee Ertel, editor of the Seminole Chronicle, and Isaac Babcock, associate editor of the Seminole Voice. More than 70 Oviedo residents attended the event.
