Dr. Calderone initiated these gatherings to encourage parents and citizens to have direct contact with the school board which makes policy for the school district. This first group met at the Educational Support Center on Lake Mary Blvd. at 8 am on September 18, 2012. To give more people a chance to attend and discuss their concerns, the chairman plans to hold other “Tea with Tina” events at venues around the district. These programs fulfill a campaign promise made by Dr. Calderone when she was elected. You may call Jill Mahramus at 407 320-0241 for information about where and when the events will be held.
